Hillary Clinton - Iraq Vote

Senator Hillary Clinton voted to authorize the use of force against Iraq in 2002. Criticism of her former position at this time ignores the fact that things have changed. It’s fighting the last war, so to speak. What the United States can or should do now is not the same as it was in 2002. Domination of the world by America is becoming untenable. Even if the U.S. achieved energy self-sufficiency tomorrow it would not change the rise of Russia, China, and India as important players in the world. America’s insularity blinds her to the obvious. Even countries such as North Korea and Iran demand to be taken seriously. Senator Clinton is no deer in the headlights, politically speaking. Love her or hate her. She can't be ignored.
