India Elects First Woman President

Women in India are not only considered second class citizens, but female children are thought to be a burden on their families. Female infanticide, selective abortion, and every day inequality common. Although the presidential office there is largely ceremonial, maybe electing a woman in the USA is not so far fetched after all. See:

Obama Ruffles Feathers in India

When Barack Obama's campaign team criticized Hillary Clinton for being too pro-Indian, the remarks were not ignored in the Indian community.
