Iraq busted US up

In the episode "Peak Performance" of the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation, Lt. Commander Data plays the game Stategema against Zakdorn master strategist Sirma Kolrami. Realizing that he cannot win after being trounced in their first match, Data simply plays for a standoff in a rematch. He blocks all of Kolrami's attempts to win and yields a draw. Data's post-game summation: "I busted him up." (original episode and wikipedia.com)

General Ricardo S. Sanchez' assessment of the situation in Iraq is correct. The best outcome available for America now is not losing. The American people are way ahead of the government in this game. The opposition has busted the US up. The days when wars could be won are over.

Not true. Worf tried to win but couldn't. We can prevail in Iraq and Iran et al but choose not to. That is the significant difference. I don't believe Bush wants to win because the Saudis own the Bushes and they don't want to annialate the Shia or even Al Qaeda, just hold them down. Ditto B-lary (owned by the Sunnis). The real question must be who will H-lary nuke, she being trigger happy.
